Bloody hell, the mission to save humanity from cosmic horror has gone off its trolley! We need your help to set things right. October's featured game is the imminent conclusion of last month's DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. Based on Charles Stross' Laundry Files this is an original adventure by gamemaster Matt Towle.
The game mixes setting material from Stross' novels (and the related Laundry Files roleplaying Cypher System rules from Monte Cook Games.No need to have played the earlier game--we'll just assume you were standing in the back of the line of secret investigators teleported to the surface of the moon!
Okay FINE--here's the synopsis again, to get you started:
Players take up the role of a British special task force sent on a mission to discover happenings strange and supernatural on the moon...but without the resources of a well-funded special ops ministry. As Matt puts it:
Space:1969. While NASA spends millions on cutting-edge rocket technology, your cash-strapped ministry just gave you a wetsuit and a subway token. Next stop: the moon!*
